Before I start working on the top, I give it a final polish with a scraper.

Then the f-holes are marked out. This work requires a good eye. The f-holes should be symmetrical.

Then holes are drilled, they also serve as orientation for the interior finishing.

Here you can see the finishing of the ceiling. This works in the same way as for the floor. First, the holes are roughly cut out, then the work becomes finer and finer using planers and finally scraper blades.

When the top is almost finished, I saw out the f-holes with a fretsaw and cut them with a carver.
