Building a violin from the roof beams of the Frauenkirche in Munich, part 2

Here you can see some of the materials used to build a violin. From left to right:
Molding board, top wood from spruce (cathedral wood)

maple wood for the back, maple neck scroll for the scroll, ribs and spruce wood for corner blocks, top and bottom blocks.

Here you can see the dome wood before jointing. Then the inner surfaces are planed completely flat and clean and glued with hot glue.

The same is done with the maple wood base. The piece used here is Bosnian maple from the estate of a colleague, 35 years old.
