I am often asked this in my everyday workshop life…  In my experience, the only answer to this question is yes!

I have a lot of customers who start learning the violin, viola or cello as adults and it is usually the case that adults are very motivated because they want to do it themselves and because it is often a childhood dream that they are making come true.
What is of course important is enough time for regular practice to realize progress and lessons so that the technique is correct and you don’t get into the wrong habit.
I also always recommend borrowing an instrument first if you realize after a few weeks or months that you don’t have the time to practice.
